Texas Nature Challenge

CHALLENGE BEGINS AUGUST 10!

Bring together your family and friends and join the Texas Nature Challenge!

The coastal bend has many participating sites, including the Texas Maritime Museum, where you can complete challenges.

To participate, register your team, download challenges, complete those challenges at the sites, then create a notebook about your experiences. Registered participants have a chance to win prizes in their home region based on their notebooks.

The state is divided into six regions. You can participate in activity challenges in all regions with competition limited to your home region. Spend a few weeks adventuring across Texas!

Preserve Maritime History

Volunteer!

The Museum needs your help! We rely on a small staff and our dedicated volunteers to keep the doors open. While our staff works diligently to provide new exhibits and educational tools for our visitors, our wonderful volunteers greet and teach people about maritime history. Volunteer shifts are just 3 hours, and you can volunteer as little as once a month. We will work around your schedule.

No prior knowledge of maritime history required, just a friendly face.

Please call 361.729.1271 to schedule a time to meet with us, and check out our Volunteer page on the website to learn about all of the opportunities available!
