Pirate Pete’s Birthday Bash Arrgh! Thar be pirates here!
On the Saturday closest to International Talk like a Pirate Day (mid-September) the Texas Maritime Museum invites all of the young buccaneers to invade the Museum and celebrate Pirate Pete’s Birthday. Party goers will add to their pirate gear with our crafts and activities before proceeding to swashbuckling games. The evening concludes with Birthday Cake and a loot bag for home.
$10 fee with early registration password, $15 at the door with no password. Adults and children under 3 FREE. RSVP for the party early and get your $5 discount password! RVSP begins in September.
Please bring a new or gently used toy as Cap’n Pete’s present which will be donated to a community organization. Cap’n Pete’s Birthday is a fundraiser for the Education Department of the Museum.
Halloween on the Harbor
Alternating between the Texas Maritime Museum and the Fulton Mansion, Halloween on the Harbor is an annual SAFE Spooktacular Halloween Event held the Saturday before Halloween. Together with the Aransas County Public Library and the Rockport Center for the Arts, our four organizations put together a haunted experience. Down the Rabbit Hole, the theme for 2012, transformed the Fulton Mansion into Wonderland filled with all our favorite characters.
Games, a maze, bouncy house, costume contest, pumpkin carving and of course, mountains of candy can be found at this FREE community event. Food and pumpkins are available for purchase from 4-H and the ABC Learning Center’s Pumpkin Patch.
