Friday, September 2nd, 2016 the Texas Maritime Museum will unveil the new Temporary Exhibit, “Gulf Coast Archaeology.”
The exhibit will focus on five Texas shipwrecks from the 1554 Spanish Shipwrecks to the Civil War-era USS Westfield.
Between these two shipwrecks will be additional artifacts and information from the LaBelle Shipwreck, the Pass Cavallo Privateer Shipwreck, and the recently discovered Monterrey shipwrecks.

The fall semester of Homeschool Days will begin on September 14th and will continue on the 2nd wednesday through December 2016.
Grades 1-4 attend a 10AM through 12PM class.
Grades 5-8 attend a 1PM through 3PM class.
Registration is $6.00 per student. Spaces are limited and need to be reserved in advance.

Dress like a pirate, get your pirate name, ass a tattoo or scar, and many more pirate themed activities and games! Prizes, loot bag, cake and refreshments included in the admission fee. Don’t forget a new or gently used toy for Cap’n Pete’s present! All toys must be in good condition with no missing parts and will be donated into the community!
Pirate Pete’s Birthday Bash is a fictional birthday party and fundraiser for the Texas Maritime Museum’s Education Department in celebration of International Talk like a Pirate Day.
