Summer Experience in Aransas (S.E.A.) Camp
During this action packed morning camp (9:00am-12:00pm), students experience the best of Aransas County including history, wildlife and ecology with activities like kayaking, fishing, sandcastle building and more. Activities are matched with grade levels, with variations for every age group. Residents of Aransas County attend the camp for free, fee of $50.00 for non-residents. Partners to be announced soon!
Registration for Aransas County residents will be on Saturday, May 5. Out of county campers may register starting on Monday, May 7.
2018 S.E.A. Camp Dates
Week 1: June 11- 15, Grades 1-2
Week 2: June 18-22, Grades 3-4
Week 3: June 25-29, Grades 1-2
Week 4: July 9-13, Grades 3-4
Week 5: July 16-20, Grade 5
*S.E.A. Camp grade level is based on the current grade your child is attending (2017-2018 academic year), not the grade your child will be going into.
Campers spend the afternoon (1:30pm-4:00pm) learning about the amazing element water is, the ways we use it, need it, fight it or change it. Activities demonstrate how things work, are built, reactions, physical properties and ways to create art. Monday to Thursday are spent at the Texas Maritime Museum and end with fun water games. Fridays are spent at the Community Pool.
Scholarships, both full and sibling discounts are made possible by the support received from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. Full scholarships for both camps will be awarded through local schools to Aransas County students and residents only. Sibling supplements for H2Odyssey Camp are on a first come, first serve basis, with no restrictions on residency. Registration fee of $75.00.
Registration forms for H2Odyssey will be accepted starting Monday, May 7th.

Spring Break Camp
Sailor’s Holiday Spring Break Camp is offered through the week of Aransas County ISD’s Spring Break Holiday with new topics and learning experiences for children ages 5 (Pre-K) through 5th grade.
The registration fee covers 5 mornings of supervised educational crafts, activities, snacks, and interesting educational experiences.
Scholarships and sibling discounts are not offered for this camp.
Become a Counselor
Throughout the year, the Education Department at the Texas Maritime Museum is constantly searching for responsible young adults to assist our camps either as volunteers or paid counselors. A number of campers graduate into our volunteer program and age into a paid counselor position. Potential applicants unfamiliar with our programs are welcome and encouraged to apply to any and all camps. Individuals must be at least 11 years old to volunteer and at least 16 years old to become a paid counselor. Head Counselors must be at least 18 years old.
