December is such a magical time, and there’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up as they create something all their own. Our Free December Family Craft Day offers parents, grandparents, and caregivers the chance to slow down, spend quality time together, and build a joyful holiday tradition that brings smiles, sparks imagination, and doesn’t break the bank.

Join in the Texas Maritime Museum Education Room on Friday, December 12th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM! This heartwarming event brings families together to build, decorate, and take home their very own whimsical winter holiday houses.

What to Expect

When you arrive at the museum, you’ll find everything you need ready to go, including graham crackers, frosting, candy, and our Education Director on hand to help guide your family through the process. You can work at your own pace, explore creative designs, and even snap a few photos of your finished masterpiece before you take it home.

After completing your craft, take some time to explore the Texas Maritime Museum’s exhibits and discover the fascinating maritime history of the Texas coast.
