Winter Lecture Series 2025 – Donna Lee Nyzio: 250 Years: America in Paint

Join us at the Texas Maritime Museum for our annual Winter Lecture Series every Monday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. This free program is one of our most popular adult programs and offers twelve weeks of engaging and informative presentations by distinguished professionals in their respective fields. Complimentary light refreshments will be available.

This week, Donna Lee Nyzio will speak on the topic of 250 Years: America in Paint.

Donna Lee Nyzio is a traditional oil painter who grew up traveling the eastern seaboard but somehow ended up setting her studio in coastal Palacios, Texas. She is a professional award winning artist whose focus is coastal and maritime, though lately, some of those boats have four legs.

As a Signature Artist in 3 organizations, the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA), American Women Artists (AWA), and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS), her work can be seen in a variety of venues and shows across the country. She completed Carnegie Melon University in Pitsburgh PA, is a veteran of the United States Army. She is currently working on a patriotic series for the 250th anniversary of our Constitution.
